Les points forts

The laptop has its own place, not a corner — a dedicated sleeve, separate from everything else.

Shoes never touch your clothes — a closed compartment, accessible from the outside.

Take the whole week without having to choose — the volume is designed for a stay, not a day trip.

Find things without unpacking everything — separate compartments rather than one big void.

Questions we’re often asked

Will a laptop fit?
The product page doesn’t mention a dedicated compartment: compare the bag’s dimensions with your laptop’s, or have a look at our laptop backpacks.
Is it comfortable for a whole day?
Adjust the straps so the bag sits close to your back, with the bottom at the small of your back: that stops it pulling on your shoulders. With a heavy load, pack the heaviest items against your back.
How do I look after it?
Nylon and Oxford fabric are light and dry quickly; they handle rain better than canvas. A wipe with a sponge is all it takes to clean them.
Polyester backpack, shoe compartment, large capacity: what you get

Polyester backpack, shoe compartment, large capacity: what you get

It's a backpack. 2 colours to choose from; it closes with a zip.

Polyester is a smooth synthetic fibre: it doesn't absorb water, it lets it slide off the surface. That's why it dries fast and resists everyday stains. It means you can clean a stain straight away, without waiting and without any product. Stains don't soak in: spilt coffee stays on the surface while you mop it up, where a natural fibre would have soaked it up instantly.

The maker designed it for going out; its style is sporty. In short: polyester, hand wash.

Find it in our traveller's bags.

Why a polyester backpack?

Why a polyester backpack?

You choose polyester for what it does day to day. Here's what this material has going for it.

  • Stains don't soak in — spilt coffee stays on the surface while you mop it up, where a natural fibre would have soaked it up instantly.
  • The colour doesn't fade — the dye is locked into the fibre itself: no fading in the sun, no washing out.
  • It dries fast — a few hours in the open air are enough, with no musty smell.

What it means in use

It means you can clean a stain straight away, without waiting and without any product.

It's the kind of thing you notice in use, not in a photo — yet that's where the difference lies between a backpack you keep and one you replace.

Backpack: packing it without losing its shape

Backpack: packing it without losing its shape

Load the bottom first with the heavy things: shoes, wash bag, chargers. The bag keeps its shape and the bottom seam takes the strain evenly.

Roll your clothes rather than folding them: they fill the gaps instead of creating bulges, and it's the depth that makes luggage oversized.

Keep the outer pocket for what you take out on the move — ticket, phone, charger — so you never have to open the main compartment standing in a queue.

Leave room for the trip home: luggage packed to the brim on the way out won't close when you're bringing something back.

Care: hand wash.

A word of honesty before you order. Polyester is sensitive to direct heat: no hot iron, no scorching tumble dryer — the fibre melts before it scorches.

The rest of our full travel bag range meets the same need in other ways.
