Questions we’re often asked

Will it get through cabin security?

Liquids must fit in a clear one-litre bag, each under 100 ml. The wash bag holds everything else: toothbrush, razor, solid toiletries.

Is it waterproof?

Nylon and Oxford fabric are light and dry quickly; they handle rain better than canvas. A wipe with a sponge is all it takes to clean them.

How should I pack it in my suitcase?

Flat on top, so you can take it out first at the hotel without unpacking everything.

How do I look after it?

Empty it, wipe the inside with soapy water and leave it open to dry.

Stopover 01

Choosing well: kids' wash bag

Bottles leak in the hold because of the pressure. A wash bag without a waterproof lining passes the problem on to the rest of the suitcase.

This model offers Large capacity suited to travel and supplies, at 26 × 14 × 18 cm. It sits at the top end of our kids' wash bag range.

Stopover 02

Getting through security without emptying it

The lining and cabin size are the two criteria: one protects your clothes, the other saves you unpacking everything at security. The range also offers Kids' Clear Travel Wash Bag.

A size that stays under the one-litre cabin limit
Separate compartments for wet and dry
A mesh panel to see what's inside
A closure that holds when the bag gets shaken
A base that stands up on a narrow basin

It is made of nylon and PU and closes with a zip.

Stopover 03

Packing so nothing leaks

Decant liquids into bottles under 100 ml and wrap each one in cling film: the pressure does the rest. Everything is in the kids' wash bag.

A clear wash bag speeds up security: the officer sees the contents without asking you to open it.

Storage: single main compartment.

FAQs

Is the canvas rainproof?

It copes with a shower, but it isn't a waterproof bag: in steady rain, water eventually gets in through the seams and zip. For a laptop or papers, use a separate pouch.
